My Future Job free essay sample
Maybe you prefer the calmer and less stressful settings of a medical clinic. One thing we all must choose upon graduating is the work place we would like to see ourselves in. For me, I would like to work in a medical clinic or doctorââ¬â¢s office. I prefer the 8 to 5 schedule that you see in an office setting as to the crazy hours hospitals keep. As a working mom, this will benefit not only me, but also my children. Because I have a remarkably relaxed personality, I would work better in a medical office. I do not work well under extreme pressures. Do not get me wrong, I realize that even in a doctorââ¬â¢s office, things can get hectic at times; but, even on the worst of days in an office is still not as stressful as working in a hospital. Having a set schedule with no working holidays or weekends is much more favorable to me as I will be a working mom with two small children. We will write a custom essay sample on My Future Job or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page This schedule will allow me to spend quality family time with my children and provide income to care for them. I will have the chance to help with homework and still be able to be there for significant events such as sporting events or spelling bees. Another way that this schedule will help me is that, on holidays and weekends, I will not have to struggle to find a babysitter or put my children in daycare. This in turn, will save me money. Another reason that I would prefer the medical office setting is the fact that I will get the chance to know each of the patients. I am truly a people person; I would rather get to know someone rather than rush around them. In an office setting, I will have the opportunity to spend more time with the each of the patients and get a feel for who they are, and better ways to help them. Knowing the patients is a momentous challenge that is worth all the rewards it brings. I have seen a myriad of patients switch providers for the fact that the doctors, nurses and staff seem uncaring. When you get to know the person and are able to empathize with them, you not only establish better care for what the patient needs but also gain the trust and respect of the patient. As I see it, these are the only reasons I need, to recognize exactly where I see myself working. Having a job that meshes well with my personality is indispensable to me. I want to wake up each morning and not be able to wait to go to work. The financial stability, while still being able to watch and help my children grow is priceless to me. There is nothing more valuable than being able to be there to support your children in all that they do; having a job that allows me to be there is the only kind for me. Plus add in the benefits of getting to know another unique human being on a daily basis, and helping them prosper, makes working in a medical office the perfect job for me.

The Role of HR Management in Facilitating the Individual Adaptation of the Employees
The Role of HR Management in Facilitating the Individual Adaptation of the Employees Introduction The role of HR management in facilitating the individual adaptation of the employees can be based on several theories. These can be educational, psychological, organizational and economic theories. In tackling this topic, this research paper describes Maslowââ¬â¢s theory, McClellandââ¬â¢s need theory, equity theory and job design theory.Advertising We will write a custom research paper sample on The Role of HR Management in Facilitating the Individual Adaptation of the Employees specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More Maslowââ¬â¢s theory of need and Hierarchy This is one of the main psychological theories of motivation postulated by Abraham Maslow. He perceived human needs to be hierarchical and observed that after a set of need ceases to be a motivator after it has been satisfied (Weihrich Cannice, 2008, p. 330). According to Maslow, basic needs are in form of five sets of goals. These are self actualization, love, ph ysiological, esteem and safety. In Maslowââ¬â¢s perspective, what motivates employees in organizations is to ensure that they have the conditions on which these basic satisfactions are based and by desires that are more intellectual. People are continually in want and the satisfaction of these wants only tends to be mutually exclusive but in reality is not. The average person only attains partial satisfaction and partial dissatisfaction of want they want (Ramlall, 2004, p. 54). This theory implies a lot to the organizational HR management. They should devise programs and practices that fulfill the upcoming or unmet needs of employees. Another implication is for the management to help workers handle stress by coming up with focus groups and support programs. This will help employees deal with stressful times and is also meant to have an understanding of their needs. The managersââ¬â¢ role is to cultivate a good climate to facilitate the development of the employeesââ¬â¢ full potential. Not doing this may frustrate employees, make them perform poorly, demotivate them and encourage them to withdraw from the organization (Ramlall, 2004, p. 54). McCllelandââ¬â¢s Need Theory The three needs that this theory focuses on are power, achievement and affiliation. The need for power is influencing others to achieve. The need for affiliation is to wish for social relationships and related events.Advertising Looking for research paper on business economics? Let's see if we can help you! Get your first paper with 15% OFF Learn More The need for achievement is the drive to succeed and excel. Given that effective HR managers need to influence others in a positive way, they need to have a great need for power combined with a low affiliation need (Ramlall, 2004, p. 55). Equity theory According to this organizational theory, the concern of individuals is not just the sum of rewards earned for their efforts, but also how this relates to what is received by others. People tend to compare their inputs such as experience, proficiency and education with outcomes which include recognition, income levels and promotions. When there is an imbalance between peopleââ¬â¢s outcome-input ration with that of others, tension arises. The theory is based on three assumptions. First, people have certain believes regarding what determines a return that is just and equitable according to their inputs in job. ââ¬Å"Second, the theory assumes that people tend to compare what they perceive to be the exchange they have with their employers (Ramlall, 2004, p. 55).â⬠The third assumption is that when people believe they are being treated inequitably with regard to the exchange they observe their counterparts to be getting, theyââ¬â¢ll be driven to take actions that they deem necessary (Theis, 2010, p. 28). Consequently, several options are created for employees who realize that they are getting unfair treatment. These options may includ e input reduction by employees through direct restriction of their work output, seeking an assignment thatââ¬â¢s more enjoyable and seeking increases in salary as a way of trying to make an output increase (Ramlall, 2004, p. 55). The HR managementââ¬â¢s challenge is therefore to devise fair and equitable reward mechanisms and giving the rewards based on what the employees believe with regard to the value they attach to the organization. Circumstances can be changed in the place of work to encourage improvement in the quality and quantity of work (Miner, 2007, p. 104). Job Design Theory The basis of this theory is that a task in itself forms a basis for motivation of employees. The motivation to perform excellently is stifled by a job that is boring, mundane and monotonous. There are three ways to make a job more challenging. These are decision authority, variety and autonomy. Both variety and challenge can be added to the job through job enrichment and job rotation (Ramlall, 2 004, p. 56).Advertising We will write a custom research paper sample on The Role of HR Management in Facilitating the Individual Adaptation of the Employees specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More Reference list Miner, J.B. Leadership - Essay Example I have also observed that good leaders are role models who are willing to create more leaders (Chand, 2008). They pass their leadership skills and experience to specific individuals. Leaders must accommodate innovation and be flexible to diverse opinions from other leaders and their followers. They manifest relevance by being flexible and accommodative. Indeed, good leaders seek to make a difference and engage in consultations aimed at making the best decisions. As such, leaders must be followers of experienced leaders. I observed that leaders establish strong associations and collaborations with others to enhance their skills and competence. This enables them to derive authority and respect from their followers. Most importantly, I observed that good leaders are objective and focus on growth in their organization (Chand, 2008). As such, they engage in activities like seminars and conferences that foster personal and leadership development. Nevertheless, it is evident that certain traits like corruption and misuse of power hinder good leadership. As such, it is challenging to find a good leader.Bottom of

Manifesto of the Communist Party - Essay Example sie from its birth till now and resultant reaction of the proletariat due to changed circumstances, as the time passed, brought about by industrial progress, bringing resultant changes in perspectives, new values, new world communities, breaking local, state and national boundaries in the happening of modern industry. As the above passage is based on the Manifesto of the Communist Party, it is very important to understand the concepts of bourgeoisie and proletariat from their point of view. In a way, it is an example of human war against oppression of any kind; only methods of fighting are different as the time changes. The ghost of communism haunts the whole of Europe. A blame game prevails in the corridors of political parties ââ¬â blaming each other, whether ruling or in opposition, of practicing communism. The best way to know communism is through its manifesto, available in different European languages, so that this ghost disappears in the thin air. Since the existence of society, there have been only two classes ââ¬â the oppressors and the oppressed, whatever the profession. This class distinction of society, earlier based on feudalism, is present now in new forms of bourgeoisie ââ¬â the oppressor and proletariat ââ¬â the oppressed. The elements of bourgeoisie were there in the slavery of the Middle Ages from which developed burghers. Later, with the passing of time, the industrial revolution changed the whole scenario, compelling feudal society to change with the times according to the needs of the industrial revolution worldwide, giving birth to a new industrial middle class. Manufacturing at large scale paved the way for a new class relation ââ¬â division of labor, new machines, steam, and ever-increasing industrial market gave birth to bigger production units, resulting in industry millionaires ââ¬â the modern bourgeois. Thus, the modern bourgeois came into being after a series of revolutions in the way s of production and exchange of commerce goods by means
